Fr Michael Minifie is from a small town called South Mountain in the province of Ontario, Canada. This town is close to the state of New York. He comes from a family of four boys and is his mother’s favorite number three son!
Fr. Michael joined the seminary at the age of 19 and was ordained to the priesthood in May 2005. His first assignment brought him to the United States to serve at Queen of Peace Catholic parish Houston, Texas. Fr Michael (aka Fr Miguel) also served 2 years at the Catholic Charismatic Center as associate director overseeing the Hispanic Ministries. Personal prayer has been a large part of his life, sustaining and giving him much joy over his 15 years as a priest. He is hopeful he can give some practical tips from his experiences to help you begin a prayer life.
Fr Minifie currently serves as an Associate Pastor at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, a large parish in Houston.
He loves the wilderness, hiking camping, canoeing, wall climbing, the odd nerf gun war and anything that has sugar.
